CONNECTED AUTODESK PERMIT INTELLIGENCE

Your permit package already lives in Autodesk. Your permit intelligence should too.

Connect the Autodesk project your team already uses and turn the live permit record into source-linked findings, timeline context, and clear next actions without creating a second system of record.

FROM AUTODESK TO ACTION

One connected permit workflow.

Autodesk stays the project system of record. Permit Sheriff becomes the intelligence layer that helps the team understand and act on the permit.
01

Connect Autodesk

Authorize Permit Sheriff, then choose the Autodesk project you want to use. Permit Sheriff discovers projects automatically when Autodesk exposes them; otherwise you can connect with the project URL.

02

Select the live record

Browse project folders, choose a document and version, and start a permit from that exact Autodesk source.

03

Let Sheriff reconstruct the story

Applications, corrections, approvals, inspections, and supporting evidence become one reviewable permit record.

04

Act with proof

Accept what is verified, reject what is not, and return actionable findings to Autodesk as Issues.

THE GAP COSTS TIME

Permitting does not usually fail because a team has no documents.

It fails in the space between the document, the correction, the deadline, the owner and the next action.
01

The wrong version gets reviewed

Downloads, email attachments and local folders make it too easy for permit work to drift away from the live Autodesk project record.

02

Corrections become scavenger hunts

A correction may be obvious on paper and still get lost between sheets, response letters, reviewers and project owners.

03

Everyone knows something. Nobody has the whole story.

Permit Sheriff builds a retained, source-linked operational record so the team can see what happened, what matters now and what needs to happen next.

WHAT YOUR TEAM GETS

Not another document viewer. A permit operation built around evidence.

Permit Sheriff does not replace Autodesk. It connects to the project record, adds permit-specific intelligence, and gives your team a defensible path from source document to next action.Open the Autodesk workspace

KEEP CONTROL OF THE DECISION

AI can find the signal. Your team still owns the call.

Permit Sheriff keeps findings reviewable and source-linked. Accepted findings can be returned to Autodesk as Issues; unverified assumptions do not get promoted into project truth.

BEFORE YOU CONNECT

Autodesk connection questions, answered.

Permit Sheriff is designed to add permit intelligence without taking control away from your Autodesk team.
01

What access does Permit Sheriff get?

Permit Sheriff works only with Autodesk projects and files your authorized Autodesk account already has permission to access.

02

Will Permit Sheriff change my Autodesk project automatically?

No. Permit Sheriff analyzes imported project evidence and keeps findings reviewable. Only human-verified findings can be published back to Autodesk as Issues.

03

How are Autodesk credentials handled?

Permit Sheriff uses Autodesk OAuth and stores OAuth tokens encrypted server-side. Tokens are not exposed in the browser.

04

Do I need Hub IDs, Project IDs, or a project URL?

Permit Sheriff attempts to discover your Autodesk projects automatically. If Autodesk discovery does not identify the project, you can provide the Autodesk project URL instead. No Hub ID or Project ID is required for that recovery path.

05

What happens if I disconnect Autodesk?

Permit Sheriff stops using that Autodesk connection to access project data. Previously imported permit records can remain in Permit Sheriff according to your account and retention settings.

06

Does Autodesk remain the system of record?

Yes. Autodesk remains the project system of record. Permit Sheriff acts as the permit-intelligence layer around the evidence, blockers, timeline, review, and next actions.
